Cocktail Movie Plot
The movie begins with Gautam Kapoor (Saif Ali Khan), a flirtatious software engineer who moves to London from Delhi for work. He meets Meera Gupta (Diana Penty), a shy and traditional girl who has come to London for her arranged marriage with Kunal Ahuja (Randeep Hooda). However, Kunal turns out to be a cheat who dumps Meera on their wedding day.
Gautam rescues Meera from her predicament and offers her a place to stay at his apartment. There, they meet Veronica D'Costa (Deepika Padukone), a free-spirited party girl who owns the apartment. Veronica befriends Meera and invites her to stay with her as well. The three become good friends and enjoy their life in London.
Things get complicated when Gautam's mother Kavita (Dimple Kapadia) arrives in London to find him a suitable bride. Gautam lies to her that he is dating Meera, who agrees to play along for his sake.
